Vintage clothes were part of our fashion and knowing that fashion is just repeating itself. Some maybe didn't notice that. But to give you an overview, it does repeats itself. Tell you, i have witnessed a lot of weddings ( I've been at wedding planning involving tasks like making a creative wedding favors ) and believe it or not there are still couples and even persons attending the wedding, that just uses the styles of way back 80's outfits.

I know where you are coming from 80's clothes shouldn't be classed as vintage. Vintage is the 50's and 60's designs with flowers and beads not new romantic or punk clothing. I don't think its time goes faster when you are older as much as there is now more to do and our lives are busier which takes up the time.

We've been selling vintage clothing on the web since '95 (RustyZipper.Com) & began to start thinking about the 80's about 10 years ago.. I remember my husband & I thinking at the time that the 80's weren't that distinct and we had a hard time imagining what would be coming back from the 80's..

Well now that it's here, it sure is distinct! We're finding all age groups diving back into 80's fashion. For guys, Member's Only Jackets are our top seller:

We're just going through a huge stash of designer high-waisted skinny leg 80's jeans (Jordache, Guess, Esprit, etc.. even some acid washed)..

Also finding some great cocktail blouses from the 80's that are heavily inspired by some of the 20's flapper steel beaded cocktail shirts & dresses:

By next year, we expect our women's clothing to be about 1/3rd 1980's.. we have a lot of fun picking the most distinct stylish pieces.. there were definitely some very unique styles from the 80's.. We like the geometric tailored designs with shoulder pads (sort of 40's look on steroids and bad drugs), and the 60's inspired bold colors and designs that came back around in the 80s.

We already have about 1800 eighties women's items.. would love feedback on items & styles we've missed :)
