Crunch Time

There are two types of people in the world: those who like crunchy peanut butter, and those who like creamy peanut butter. (Technically there are three types if you count those who go into anaphylactic shock if they ingest peanuts, but for the purposes of my rhetoric here, let's stick with two.)

I am a crunchyphile. Personally, I can't understand why anyone would forgo the nutty goodness. ("Yes, I will accept your $1 million gift, but you keep the cash...just give me the rubber bands that hold the bills together.") But then again, I've eaten crayons.

In the interest of promoting dialogue between the two camps, share your peanut preference below, and tell us why. Maybe this is the first step toward world peace...

I like creamy peanut butter, it's easy to spread. fairings
It's creamy for me. I don't want anything crunchy getting in the way of my tactile senses while indulging in a big spoonful of PB. I lick the PB off the spoon and I feel it's creamy smoothness as it glides across my tongue, against the roof of my mouth and, even without peanuts, I still enjoy the scrumptuous taste of peanuts, although in a creamy, gooey form that I ooooh so love!
I used to like creamy but now I am totally freaked out about the mold and the aflatoxin!! I'm afraid to eat it now! Ack!
I'm so glad that I'm not the only one with a peanut butter fetish. AND I used to have PB, honey, and butter sandwiches as a child! I thought I was the only one! I also ate a lot of bologna and miracle whip sandwiches, motivating me to cleanse my body with a VEGAN diet for the last 5 years... and for eternity. I'm all about the crunchy, unless I'm dipping. Then the creamy comes in handy. Third weird combination: peanut butter with PICKLES!!!! Highly recommend this delicious combination. To be honest, nothing really beats a jar of peanut butter and a spoon.

I was a crunchy PB fan as a kid, but only like creamy these days. I had more than my share of PB, honey & butter sandwiches when I was growing up. I still have one every now and then when I crave comfort food. Cashew butter sounds delightful. Almond butter most certainly is :)
It has to be crunchy for me. I like to feel the crunch. The butter thing sounds discusting! Yuk! Peanut butter is great, but almond butter is even better. I usually skip the jam and use sliced fruit instead. (Why mess with added sugar when you can have the real thing?) Today I topped mine with sliced peaches, blueberries and raspberries. As a kid it was pb and bananas or apples. When nothing else is in season there's always raisins.
a great way to leave the honey behind/go vegan with your PB sammies is to use agave nectar, instead. just as good, if not better.
Creamy peanut butter is good. I want to try almond butter. Sounds good. teak furniture
Well save yourself some money and just buy "Once Again Nut Butter" because they make Saratoga peanut butter. The owner is just a smiling con artist. I have asked her many times about where she gets the peanuts from, what is in the jar, etc,. All I get is run around answers. I even checked the nutritional content at a Nutritionists friends lab and it was not even close. Anyone ever check to see who this company really is. Scamming all of us, including me. I won't mention the mouse turd in a jar last month!!!
