Fave NON-green Smart Phone Apps
- Chicago Editor Daisy: "I’m still in the dark ages, cell phone wise… But one that I think is really cool is on the iPhone - you share files with a bump. So all you do is bump your phone against someone else’s, and it makes a bump noise/vibration thing, and the file is transferred!"
- Managing Editor Diane: "Remote. This is gonna sound complicated, here goes...it lets me control iTunes, when it's streamed though my AirPort and connected to my stereo. I used to have to go to my computer, in another room, to change songs (it doesn't sound as bad as it really was). It also lets friends put in requests for songs if iTunes is in DJ mode."
- SF Editor Hanah: "Pandora, Kayak, and Slydial."
- Co-founder Heather: "Lame, but Google Maps is the greatest thing since sliced bread. For people who have the new Palm Pre, the freakin' Pandora streaming is amazing. The Breastfeeding iPhone app gets rave reviews from my mommy friends as well."
- Seattle Editor Jen H.: "Kinda boring, but I love Google Maps for my BlackBerry because I have such a terrible sense of direction and it can always find me and tell me where I need to go."
- Co-founder Jen B.: "Google Maps, hands down."
- Editorial Director Jenifer: "Shazam, Shopper, and the Level."
- LA Editor Molly: "Shazam."
-Toshio...off to play with the new BlackBerry, since Credo finally started offering them...
