Jen, You can stop mosquitos from biting you by taking enough vitamin B-12 until you have a slight vitamin odor coming through your pores. You have to continue taking the B-12 and maintain that slight odor or the mosquitos will come back. I was on an expedition in the Guatamalan jungles and an old doctor told about taking B-12. I was never bitten.

I have a tip to help deal with the flying critters inhabiting the outdoors. I live in MN, where the mosquitoes will carry away a child. My last time out hiking, I felt like the center of a buffet. So, this time around, I needed an insect repellent, but wanted to stay away from DEET if at all possible. I was able to find a product at REI that is plant based, made from Lemon Eucalyptus. We cover our yard and flower beds with cedar chips and cedar spray. The bug can not stand cedar. It works wonders here in The Woodlands, Texas

I have used it in the past and have been quite impressed. Since I am currently living in Montana, I suggest rubbing a bit of prarie sage on the skin. The cost is right and the results are better than anything store bought that I've ever used.

If your looking for a more perminant solution to your mosquito problem but not intrested in shelling out a ton of cash for some sophisticated contraption that needs chemicals or a degree in engineering take a look at this product from www.skeeterbag.com It's a net that attaches to the rear of a regular 20" box fan and catches the pests as they come to dine on you, and the fan is a godsend here in Florida during the summer. Even if you don't have a box fan already the whole setup will cost lest than anything else out there.
