"I Want to Lick Your Elbow"

Body Care

OK, so this one is short and sweet, folks.

If you work in an office environment or are around people you want to fawn over you, go out right now and buy some Burt's Bees Milk and Honey Body Lotion.

First off, it's amazing moisturizer. I keep it on my desk and use it all throughout the winter and summer when my skin is screaming from heat or air conditioning. Coworkers love to borrow it, and as it is 100% natural, you can feel good about using it and supporting a good company.

But the biggest reason to use it?

Popularity.

Every single time I put it on, someone walks by and asks what smells so good, then stops to chat.

And today, as I was rubbing some into my elbows, my friend, Chris, walked by and said "That makes me want to come over and lick your elbow."

It doesn't get a lot better than that.

Find Burt's Bees lotions and other products at your local Whole Foods or body products stores, or go direct to the Company Store

Dryer lint is great for starting campfires, but we won't talk about why campfires are bad. I'm just saying...also, if you saved lots and lots of it, you could stuff a pillow. Pillows are good for sleep and therefore one of my favorite things.
I love your articles/entries - well written and really fun to read. I love coming in to work and the first thing I do is read the bite :)
Does anyone know what the non-natural ingredients are in Burt's products? I used to bathe my baby in the buttermilk bath and slather her with the baby lotion, but I got nervous about the 98.1% natural label.
Just ordered about 10,000 Burt's Bees' items from drugstore.com. Huge sale, and I got free shipping when I spent over 25 dollars.
I think its ironic that they bost about burts products not being tested on animals...dont they exploit and harm animals to make the products??
You know, there are lots of cosmetic brands that are against animal testing that are much better quality than burt's bees like the body shop for example
Burt's Bees is now owned by CLOROX. Hello? CLOROX! Burt sold out. So sad.
I use this incredible product called Pot of Gold skin balm. It's amazing and completely natural- it uses organic beeswax and organic and sustainably sourced palm oil and unlike the Body Shop it does not test on animals (you will notcie a few years ago they changed their mantra from 'not tested on animals' to 'against animal testing' to get around this. Now owned by L'Oreal). Anyway you should check this stuff out, it's made by a family in New Zealand and still the best thing I've found for everything from eczema to sunburn. I think they only sell online thats where I buy mine www.potofgoldbalm.co.nz
Burt's Bees is now owned by Clorox, though they are still operated as before with very high eco standards. Big piece in Sunday's (1/7/08) NYTimes Business section. Clorox is going green!
Clorox and "going green" sounds like an oxymoron to me...
