Ideal Bite

Wow, I'm really disappointed that Ideal Bite has recommended a product (fruit leather) that they not only admit requires too much packaging, but also, obviously, requires a lot more processing (hello - machines and such?!!) that the real thing. What's wrong with just eating FRUIT?!!!! (sorry - not a gripe on you, Mike, just a gripe on Ideal Bite).

Better options, Toshio. I guess I was raised different here in the Midwest. We tried to find other ways to make do with & use things rather than just buy, buy, buy. My family was a 1 income one with three kids so there was not a lot of extra money. We did take vacations(camping) & my dad always had a garden. My parents paid cash for things, even cars. I learned to sew in high school & made a lot of stuff including a prom dress. We used the library a lot & spent a lot of time outside enjoying nature. I guess that's why I have a hard time with the tips that suggest buying expensive things in the name of "green". Yes, I really care about the environment but I don't think you have to consume more & spend a huge amount of money. I guess I was am from another era( I am 56).
