I'm a big fan of homemade popsicles, and now that strawberries and other early summer fruits are starting to arrive, along with the warmer weather, I plan to whip up this pop recipe from Mama Bite reader Leah Klein of Cambridge, MA:

Frozen Yogurt Fruit Pops

Makes 4-6 pops

Ingredients:
(local or organic whenever possible
)

  • 3/4-1 cup of plain yogurt
  • 1-1 1/2 cups of frozen or fresh fruit of choice
  • 1-3 Tbs of honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2-3/4 cup of water, milk, soymilk, rice milk, or juice

Directions:
Puree ingredients in a blender and pour into molds. Freeze for at least 6 hours.

Thank you for this healthy kids hot weather snack - - I bet the adults will be grabbing some of these cool yummy treats as well. Best of all, they're HEALTHY!
Which mold did you use? I've read that that popsicle is difficult to remove from the Tovolo molds and I see they have a mold which fits on a child's finger (like a ring) that I thought was cute but not certain if it is food safe. Do you know if all Tovolo products are food safe?? Also what about silicone? Food safe or not?
