Take a Cold Shower

If I didn't know better, I'd say hot showers are overrated. If you turn your water heater off completely, just think of all the benefits (besides getting your mind off sex, per the idiom):
  1. Even lower energy bills
  2. Way shorter showers, obviously (brrr) - you use so much less water
  3. And, would you believe it, lots of health benefits
In my own (very unsolicited) experience, they're not so terrible - you actually feel really warm and very awake after.

How you do go on about your water heaters, your thermostats, your "vacation" settings, cold showers...AND NOT ONE WORD ABOUT TANKLESS HOT WATER HEATERS like I have. My gas bill (sorry electric hot water heater users) is reduced by three-fourths of what I formerly paid each month for my conventional gas hot water heater. That's because I'm heating water only on demand...using gas for only what I use...and not keeping 40 gallons of water hot 24/7/365. With a tankless hot water heater I have as much hot water as I need and never run out. As devoted to ecological solutions as your crowd is...why no mention of tankless hot water heaters?
There is at least one discussion of the tankless water heater. I found it by searching under worm composting and somehow got into it. It was from 2007, so if that is the latest info, there needs to be an update! One thing I find elusive is the plumber who knows anything about it. I live in a very small town far from the metropolitan progressiveness. I have to check the hardware big box stores again, since I haven't looked lately, to see if they are even carrying them yet. If they are, then I'll see if I can afford it! I really want a tankless water heater, my current one is such a waster. Unfortunately I HATE the cold, so cold showers will never happen for me!
Arlene - because I can go downstairs and turn down my thermostat. There's no way I'd be able to afford a tankless water heater today (it's on the wish list though, so am trying to save for it for when ours kicks the bucket). True, it'd be a good mention, but also true that I'd rather have a tip that I can do TODAY rather than waiting till I have the money!
Also left out was a discussion of ways that FHW systems could be better set up for energy efficiency but nailing all of the available and having it a readable length would have been hard.
Fantastic and useful post man. 70-293 I am fully agree with your thoughts that hot showers are puffed up. That’s also true if you turn your water warmer off totally, you can get advantage of all the benefits. It would also helpful in reducing your expense. 646-230 Here question to be asked is that how it will reduce expenses? It’s very simple when you will not use water heaters then it will reduce your gas expense if you have gas heater, and if electric water heater then it would be helpful in reducing your electric bill cost. 70-630 So by doing so, you can enjoy robust health along with reducing your expenses.
When you look at it like that, there a more reasons than I realised for taking a cold shower. The problem is, I don't think I would ever get out of bed in the morning!Banking Software
