I feel like I’ve been city-break-hopping all summer long. Weekend trips to the beach, Cape Cod, the Hamptons, Chicago, Philly…I’m exhausted just thinking about it. Although trips = fun times, I’ve unfortunately been ignoring friends to the point that one gal emailed me today asking if I moved! Josie Maran Makeovers
What: Meet Josie Maran and get a free JMC makeover.
When: Friday, July 31; 9am-3pm and Saturday, August 1; 1pm-7pm.
Where: Sephora. Friday at 1500 Broadway. Saturday at 5 Times Square (note: two different locations).
Nature’s Remedy
What: Pair up with the park rangers to search for medicinal plants and natural remedies at this free event.
When: Sunday, August 2; 2pm.
Where: Van Cortlandt Park. Enter on W. 246th St., Bronx.
The Waterpod
What: Floating ecohabitat exhibit with a wind turbine, solar panels, veggie gardens, rainwater collection, and chickens (yes, chickens).
When: Thru Aug. 3; Thursdays 8am-4pm and Fridays thru Sundays 11am-7pm.
Where: The pier at 125th St. and Riverside Dr.
Danku Recycling
What: Danku employees dressed in pink and lime green will set up recycling stations and encourage passers-by to recycle their bottles, cans, and paper.
When: Thursday, August 6; starting at 7am.
Where: South East and North East Corners of 57th St. and 6th Ave.; North West corner of 57th St. and 5th Ave.; and North West corner of 59th St. and 5th Ave.

What: Meet the author of “Clean Plates NYC” - a guide book highlighting the healthiest, most sustainable restaurants in Manhattan. You’ll also learn how to incorporate more nutritious eating into your life.
