…we truly think that our guests coming to the wedding itself is gift enough. But if we did, here’re my top three picks…

For the heart: I Do Foundation - we set up a charity registry at the I Do Foundation, and we really are hoping that our guests give to our charity picks: NRDC, American Cancer Society, the CARD Clinic, and IRF.

For the house: American Clay - OK, so not a traditional wedding gift, but we just put American Clay (gorgeous, incredibly eco “plaster” without the pain-in-the-ass-ness of Venetian plaster) in three rooms in our house, and now I’m obsessed and want it in every room. The only catch is that it’s pretty pricey, so having friends go in on a bag of clay would be a very cool gift.

For the glass: Bottlenotes - the wine retailer and recommender has a great “Green Starter Cellar” registry. You can choose a bunch of organic and biodynamic wines and ask your friends to purchase them for your cellar (and then you have a great excuse to have them over for dinner).
