You Had Me at Yoga
Yoga brought me to LA. I came here (going on 5 years ago) to do a teacher training with Shiva Rea et al. and never left. And this summer she's teaching at a rad festival.
Rock star yoga teachers + actual rock stars + a rockin' nature setting = the first ever Wanderlust Festival, July 24-26 at Squaw Valley in Lake Tahoe, CA. Mornings are for getting sweaty and centered in classes led by some big name yogis like my friend Shiva and John Friend; afternoons and evenings are spent jamming to bands such as Spoon and Michael Franti & Spearhead.
WF is doing a ton of greening efforts like focusing on local sourcing, organics, reusability, and sustainability, plus carbon offsets which'll help it be close to a zero impact event.
Tix are on sale here and now. Prices for weekend passes start at $124.50 for just music and $169.50 for music and yoga. Yogis should act quick 'cuz classes with well-known instructors are going fast.
