Butter Me Up

When I’ve really got a cold coming on, there’s one clear way I know: I lose my appetite. Yes, that’s true for many peeps, but ordinarily I’m always, always ready to eat (good cheese is my first choice...except maybe cookies...or a grass-fed burger...).

DORM ROOM DECORATING

Deck the Residence Halls: College Week

Little too early for boughs of holly? Of course. But students can still deck out their rooms with stuff that saves energy, is made from earth-friendlier materials, and looks hotter than a blazing Yule.

GETTING INVOLVED

Tau Biter Sigma: College Week

Know a student rushing for a greener coeducational experience? They could order organic beer kegs for the next frat party, or they could join an organization on campus and help the planet, find pals, beef up their resume, and (most likely) skip the hazing.

Down with Hand-Me-Downs

We recently returned from a big, fancy family wedding and Roxane, my 11-month-old daughter, looked like doll.  There’s not much more adorable than a big bow on the back of a little girl’s dress, but this confection was also sleeveless pink and white seersucker with a scallop-edged collar and tiny flower

BABY FOOD

Open Wide

When does "here comes the airplane" sound better than usual? When that plane's carrying eco baby food. Try to go for organic and filler-free options for a healthier baby and planet. Vrrrm…
