Jury still out on granola for you? Well, personally we’ve reached a unanimous verdict on Eat Green Food’s local, organic, sustainable, and seasonal granola bars. It’s all there in fine print: toasty oats from Iowa grain millers, fruit and honey from Midwest orchards, plus organic staples such as peanut butter, brown sugar, and artisan Chocovic Chocolate, each bar handmade and wrapped in biodegradable cellophane. For spring, snatch up EGF’s rhubarb-pistachio flavor, or delay the trial for summer’s Concord grape and PB bar. Buttery, sweet-n-salty, chewy – these granola bars rule, especially the PB and chocolate (we’re talking dessert jurisdiction here). In the matter of EGF v. so-called “natural” bars? No contest.
