SMALL CHANGES ADD UP

If 10,000 Chicago Biters invest in politician-powered energy, we’ll generate enough wind power to last until the third Mayor Daley.

COCKTAIL FACT

On April 1, 1977, a British newspaper wrote a travel feature on the small Indian Ocean republic of Sans Seriffe, and its two major islands, Upper Caisse and Lower Caisse, shaped like semi-colons.

Long Wind(ed) Power - April Fools’ Day

The Bite

image
Think Chicago politicians are wasting their breath with all their yakking? The clever peeps at Windy City Power plant have devised a way to harness that abundant natural energy and feed it into the local grid. Turns out area windmills get a major boost from the redundant, and particularly the pedantic, speech-ifying generated in the Loop and at aldermanic outposts ’round the city. In fact, a recent spike in power reserves was credited to run-on sentences and the bloviating wind-up to the Rezko trial. To support long-windedness, and in turn our local energy supply, just continue to vote Chicago-style – early and often.
