The Ripple Effect

The Bite:
imageCan a glass of water start a small wave? Yep. During World Water Week, now through Sat., Mar. 22, order tap instead of bottled at hundreds of participating restaurants, add a buck to the bill, and for every dollar raised, UNICEF will provide a child with 40 days’ worth of safe, potable water. (Nationwide, more than 8,000 eateries have joined the campaign.) As if we needed another reason to hit up The Gage for a tasty Scotch egg or DeLaCosta for a delish dish of ceviche. Spend a buck here, make a splash there.
Wanna Try:
TAP Project, Mar. 16-22 at participating Chicago restaurants. Donation, $1.

Cocktail Fact

Desert rats and koala bears are the only animals that don't drink water (they get all their H2O from the food they eat).

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 Chicago Biters donate $1 to TAPP, we’ll provide 400,000 children with safe drinking water for 40 days.
