The Bite:
If you spot do-gooder Marisol Becerra out saving lives, give her a high five. While some of us (ahem) were learning to chug beer and breathe at the same time, the 19-year-old DePaul sophomore was out educating her Little Village neighbors about the dangerous eco and health effects of nearby Fisk and Crawford coal plants. She interviewed locals, rallied peeps to write letters to their Alderman, and created a map of pollutants in the area that cause 41 deaths and 550 hospital visits each year. She just received the Earth Island Institute's Brower Youth Award for her efforts and works at school to hook up green-minded students with LV environmental projects. Did we mention she plays the violin? Yep, heartbreaker.
