The Bite:
Dumb: Opting for the same old boring tables and chairs. Do: Check out Wadoo Furniture's funky-but-functional pieces for your pad. The spot recently expanded to about double the old size, and it's still jam-packed with an eclectic mix of colorful accents - tables to wall hangings. Our pick of the mix is local artist Jay Shambo's creations, including stools made of Douglas fir from a demolished barn and tables made from rosewood out of an old mine shaft. Other gems: Alane Ortega's mosaic sculptures, created with broken pottery and glass. Using reclaimed woods and other materials keep landfills small and trees standing tall. And the pieces? They look good.
