image...all the sustainable stuff is...if you stock up at Ellie's Eco Home Store. Grab everything but food at this new Boulder eco-shop, which stocks more than 7,000 items in 20 departments and makes a point of keeping prices on par with regular department stores. Ecover's chlorine-free bleach? Check. Hemp dog leashes by The Good Dog Company? Yep. All Terrain's recycled/recyclable bandages? Them too. Other gems: AFM Safecoat zero-VOC paint and Ellie's own bamboo-organic cotton tees (muted colors, comfy) - everything in the store's reducing pesticide use or landfill waste, or supporting renewables, and signs explain each item's impact. Plus, the place was built with a ton of reclaimed materials, and sun tunnels light things up naturally. We heart that.
