Wanna explore the best of Denver without a care in the world? Ditch the traffic and parking annoyances, and follow Denver's free, downloadable Hike and Bike Map. It's got 10 local, themed routes (five for walkers, five for bikers), including the 1.6-mile Go Artsy jaunt that takes you past the library and Civic Center Park's public art. Exercise-seekers: Try the big 32-mile Get Outta Town ride along the Platte River to Chatfield State Park. We spent 2 hours (not including dressing-room time, of course) on the 1.9-mile All Aboard trip to Larimer Square and Tattered Cover. The guide also adds up the amount of CO2 you're keeping outta the air by not chugging your car around. Ahh.

Cocktail Fact

The oldest known map of the moon was carved on a rock in Knowth, Ireland around 3000 BC.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 Denver Biters walk or bike just one 5-mile trip instead of driving, it'll have the same CO2-reducing effect as taking nearly five cars off the road for a year.
