Sleeping Around

The Bite:
Waking up in a different place every morning? Couch, floor...maybe it's time for a comfier bed. So settle down on some sleeping equip from the Natural Sleep Store - mattresses, sheets, pillows, and blankets - all made of natural latex (rapidly renewable), and organic cotton or wool. We nearly napped on the showroom's Vimala mattress by Green Sleep, with its layers of organic cotton velour on an untreated (no synthetic chems) maple frame. And though we didn't have the five Gs for it, we are rocking some new Coyuchi organic jersey sheets. Either way, you'll rest easier knowing you're not sleeping with nasty chems like formaldehyde and boric acid. You're on your own with the walk of shame...
Wanna Try:
Natural Sleep Store, 928 W. Eighth Ave. Map It (303-623-2261). Vimala mattress, $4,976; Coyuchi organic jersey sheet set, $170/king.

Cocktail Fact

A 2007 UK study found that folks who sleep less than 7 hours a day are twice as likely to die of a heart attack.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 Denver Biters opt for an organic cotton sheet set rather than a nonorganic one, we'll avert the weight of 263 king-size mattresses in pesticides.
