Tale of (Tat)too Cities
The Bite
Four hundred pages of historical fiction not your type of ink? Plot your revolt this weekend at the Denver Tattoo Convention. Full sleeves or stamp-free, you can marvel at the arms, necks, faces, or [insert part here] of the area's best body art. There'll be bike-delivered vegan eats, temp tattoos for kids, and more than 50 artists on hand - many using vegan-friendly ink and all toting biodegradable rinse cups, soaps, and paper towels. (Don't miss the talk by Lyle Tuttle, who gave Janis Joplin and Cher their first tats.) Feelin' brave? This sustainable art won't deplete the ozone like other art forms do -
CFCs in spray paint come to mind - though it'll still hurt like the dickens.
