Tee Party

12.08.2008

The Bite:
imageHave your old T-shirts gone to pot? Grab a cuppa'la Tees for Change. In bright crayon colors like pumpkin and ocean blue, these supersoft tees (a longtime Biter fave) sport inspiring slogans such as "Be Courageous" and "Chase Dreams," and come in short-, long-, and cap-sleeves, as well as tank tops - even onesies. (FYI: They run a little snug - our Live Passionately long-sleeve, um, highlights our assets.) TFC makes 'em from renewable bamboo and organic cotton (instead of conventional cotton, which soaks up 10% of the world's pesticides), veggie-based dyes, and water-based ink, keeping loads o' chems out of the environment. It also uses recycled paper for, like, everything; donates goofs to Goodwill; and plants a tree for every sale. How refined.

Cocktail Fact

Before tea became popular in the late 1600s, the customary morning British drink was ale.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 Denver Biters buy T-shirts made from organic cotton, we'll avert the weight of 2,100 teapots in pesticides.
