Upper Crust

The Bite:
imageLike your pizza upscale, dah-ling? Live the high life, and dine on a pie from Greenwood Village's Sazza. Load your thin-crust with up to 21 different toppings like gruyere, cheddar, and pineapple. The usual for us: spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, eggplant, artichoke hearts, and baby portobello 'shrooms. Pizza purist? There's good ol' pepperoni too, and Sazza's ingredients are mostly organic with a focus on locally sourced stuff (plus they've got organic beverages like Blue Sky soda and homemade salad dressings). Pick up to-go orders in biodegradable boxes made from recycled cardboard. Black tie optional.
Wanna Try:
Sazza, 2500 East Orchard Rd., Littleton. Map It (303-797-2992). 12-inch spinach pizza, $11.

Portobello mushrooms have more potassium than a banana.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 Denver Biters eat just one locally sourced meal instead of one made with ingredients shipped from afar, we'll save more than nine refrigerators-full of oil.
