...and melt with you - if you bring a half dozen or so Chocolove organic chocolate bars. Made in small batches in Boulder, these silky smooth, pesticide-free bars - which range from milk chocolate to 77% cocoa - have a love poem inside each wrapper. Try 'em in the fondue recipe below - you'll see the difference, now...

Chocolove Fondue
Serves 8

Ingredients (local and organic whenever possible):
16 ounces (5 bars) Organic 73% Dark Chocolate Chocolove
1 1/2 cups light cream
Seasonal fruit, such as pears and apples, cut into bite-size chunks

Break the scored squares of chocolate into smaller pieces and drop them into fondue pot. Add cream (to prevent the chocolate from getting lumpy) and stir gently but constantly until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Use a fondue fork to spear the fruit and dip it into the chocolate.

Cocktail Fact

Traditionally, a woman who drops a piece of food into the fondue pot has to kiss all the men present; a man who drops his must buy a bottle of wine.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 Denver Biters opt for 1 pound of organic chocolate instead of nonorganic bars, we'll keep the weight of 99 fondue pots in pesticides outta the environment.
