The Bite:
imageIf you skip this Bite, you'll miss this wine-tasting dinner…and if you skip this dinner, you'll miss out on this tasty bite: La Cachette. Get outta this jam by reserving a seat at the white-tablecloth, Frenchie spot this Sunday to chomp down nine courses (we may never need to eat again) of tasty organic goodness. Teaser: lasagna with morel mushroom and port sauce, epoisse with goji berries and sourdough bread (think schmancy grilled cheese), and figs with raspberry cream. And each course - plus an amuse-bouche and a dessert - is paired with 18 different biodynamic wines from Chateau Le Puy presented by Cru Wines. Its methods date back as far as 1610, and the soil has never (seriously) been hit with synthetic chems or fertilizers. No dilemma here.
Wanna Try:
La Cachette's Wine Tasting Dinner; Oct. 12, 6 p.m.; 10506 Santa Monica Blvd., Century City (310-470-4992). Food and wine pairing, $160/per person.

Cocktail Fact

Amuse-bouche translates to "mouth entertainment.”

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 LA Biters eat an organic meal instead of a nonorganic one, we'll avert 40 café latte cups worth of pesticides from entering the environment.
