Happy Glamper

10.26.2009

The Bite:
Love nature…but not sleeping bags and greasy hair? Get your outdoor fix in comfort by "glamping" at El Capitan Canyon. Inside your tent or cabin (lit with CFLs, natch) you'll find cushy mattresses, crisp linens, and recycled-wood furniture, and the cabins even have a private bathroom and coffee-maker-equipped kitchenette. Outside there's a beach, hiking trails, and bike paths, plus activities like yoga and whale watching day tours. And through November, there are special packages for spa junkies, winos, and foodies - whichever one you are, rejoice.
Why Care?:
Studies show that nature does wonders for depression - great even if you're just stressed. And a little exercise certainly can't hurt.
Spa junkie? Us too - we're all over ECC's Relax and Renew package, which includes an aromatherapy massage with organic, local oils like lavender or white sage. Ahhh...
