Rohini, Meeny, Miny, Moe

The Bite:
imageCatch a vegan shoe by its toe. Our mother told us to pick a great boutique...and GreenRohini is it. This shop's reclaimed wood floors and VOC-free painted walls house an eclectic mix of stylish threads, including summer-lovin' vintage fabric halter tops and clingy bamboo knit dresses. Owner Lorin Becker handpicks items by local and independent designers, from LA's recycled-cashmere queen Deborah Lindquist to Portland's retro-inspired Aster Park, and stocks high-end goodies such as recycled silver charm necklaces and English Retreads totes, handmade from reclaimed inner tubes. We wouldn't let go of Form & Fauna's fab turquoise heels (leather-free with nontoxic glues) even if they could holler.

Cocktail Fact

Although many variations exist, the most common British version of "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" involves catching a baby while the typical American version contains a more ferocious tiger.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 LA Biters buy a handbag fashioned from recycled inner tubes instead of a leather one, we'll keep 2,500 truck tires out of landfills.
