In Your Element

The Bite:
imageHiking boots clash with your outfit? Stick with your Miu Miu flats, and enjoy nature through a new exhibit by two artists who get their hands dirty while capturing the beauty of the outdoors. World-renowned surf photographer Tom Servais's limited-edition photo series, el·e·men·tal, takes us inside a Tavarua Island wave in Fiji (a view we'd never see otherwise, thanks to our sad surfing skills). William Stranger's collection of furniture - benches, stools, and tables - bring in a different element with his unusual designs made from discarded wood. Deborah Guyer Greene, owner of the show's venue, epOxybOx, is dedicated to greening fine art, and has curated this one by printing Servais's images on bamboo paper and using FSC-certified frames. Just the thing for roughing it in your element.
Wanna Try:

Cocktail Fact

Despite being one of the most famous artists of the Renaissance, Leonardo Da Vinci left behind fewer than 30 paintings, some of which weren't even finished.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 LA Biters buy one picture frame made of reclaimed lumber instead of virgin wood, we'll save 13 trees.
