Looking for a place where you can be - and buy - whatever you want? It's not free, but you can snag a few bargains at Brownstoner's Brooklyn Flea. This once-a-week, junk-free market brings together 200+ vendors of vintage furniture, clothing, and vinyl, plus select new stuff from local artists (jewelry, paintings), even beauty goods from Australian Scent and MJ's Herbals. If you need to fortify, grab a Rick's Picks pickle, or our new obsession: traditional Mexican nieve, a kind of gourmet sno-cone from Chida that's made with ice, Evans Farmhouse milk (Norwich), locally grown berries, and Kortright Creamery goat's milk caramel (East Meredith). Check out the website for listings (some vendors rotate), then grab what you like at will.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 NY Biters buy a vintage cotton tee instead of a new one made with conventionally grown cotton, we'll keep the weight of over 20 shoppers in pesticides from spraying into the environment.
