Going the Extra Pile

The Bite:

Appreciate the extra effort takeout places put into burying your lo mein under a 4-inch stack of napkins? We don't either (we're not that bad with chopsticks). Now you can lose that pile thanks to Eco to Go, an organization helping participating restaurants like Dallas BBQ, Grace's Marketplace, and A La Turka to make an effort to cut down on waste. Just say, "make that eco-to-go, please," and get your takeout with minimum packaging, fewer napkins, and no plastic utensils (not even a spork). And if your fave lo mein locale isn't on the list, ask it to join, ‘cuz all of this adds up to a lot less landfill mileage...and lots more trees.

Cocktail Fact

Each American eats takeout an average of 127 times per year.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 NY Biters use their own utensils instead of a disposable cutlery kit, we'll keep the weight of 626 Whoppers in plastic out of landfills.
