The Bite:
Starting to call your dirty tub names like, oh, say, bath outta hell? Watch the gunk bounce off it with this DIY, nontoxic bathtub scrub (no eye-burning bleach necessary) from eco grime fighter Alexandra Zissu - who'll greenproof your home (read: get rid of toxic chems) from bath to nursery. Eco and cheap, this scrub calls for stuff you probably already have on hand - helping your urge to clean stick.
Bathtub Scrub
5 minutes; makes 2 cups (about 8 uses)

What You Need:
Directions:

1. Pour eco-friendly dish soap, baking soda, and water into container and mix.

2. Using the scrub brush work the mixture onto the tub and tiles in a circular motion to remove grime.

3. Once you finish the whole area, wipe it clean with a wet cloth - a quick shower rinse should remove any excess solution.

4. Store it under the sink. If it dries out just add water and stir.

Cocktail Fact

Think the toilet is the dirtiest thing in a public bathroom? Nope: It's the floor.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 NY Biters use nontoxic cleaners in their homes instead of ones with bleach or ammonia for a year, we'll keep 75 swimming pools full of chems from ending up down the drain and possibly in our waterways.
