imageWhat's better than free food samples while you shop? Not much, but sample sales come close. This weekend, go for a low-impact kind of shopping (lower impact on the environment, that is) and pick up some designer goods at the Samples for (eco)mpassion Sample Sale. Energy used during the sale will be offset with Terrapass clean energy certificates, BioBag will provide 100% biodegradable and compostable corn-based bags for carrying your goods, and 5% of total sales will go toward planting new trees through Trees for the Future. Just a sampling: Seven Jeans will go for $49, QI Cashmere Sweaters for $59, T-Bags printed jersey V-neck dresses for $79, and Del Forte organic denim for $59 - it all beats fighting for the last frozen pizza pocket at Costco any day.
