Shakespeare in Love

06.15.2009

The Bite:
Looking for romance this weekend? You Will find it at Shakespeare in the Park. S'leb Anne Hathaway takes the lead as Voila in Twelfth Night - a comedy about a girl dressing up as a boy who falls in love with a dude (sound familiar?). Tix are limited but free (two max), so queue up early at Central Park's outdoor Delacorte Theater day-of, so you don't get played.
Why Care?:
Indoor central air produces 4.8 pounds of CO2 per hour. Fresh, breezy nighttime air doesn't.
We'll be sneaking off during our lunch hour to snag a pair...
Wanna Try:
Twelfth Night at Shakespeare in the Park; Tuesdays-Sundays, 8 pm through Jul. 12; The Delacorte Theater, 81 Central Park W. Tickets issued day of show, starting at 1 pm.

Cocktail Fact

Anne Hathaway was also the name of William Shakespeare's wife.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 NY Biters turn off their A/C (and TV) and head out to catch an open-air theater production, it'll have the same CO2-reducing effect as planting 43 trees.
