The Bite:

So your current wardrobe makes you wanna break down and cry. Where do you go now? Head to Brooklyn-based Feral Childe's for tulip skirts, cropped jackets, and knee-length dresses with embellishments like snaps, ruffles, and fancy buttons. FC's new hipster-cred line, Yosemite, uses 75% sustainable fabrics, including organic cotton, hemp, and Tencel (from wood pulp). Among the gems: the pale purple organic chambray Paddle Dress with handmade X-shaped buttons and the puffy Yellow Rabbit Brooch (yes, really) made from overstock fabric…as fresh as the bright blue sky.

Why Care?:

Organic cotton skips the pesticides (10% of all pesticides are used on cotton crops), and tencel feels like rayon but doesn't require the same harsh chems to produce.

We're also counting our pennies for the swingy beige and electric orange Ansel coat and skirt, paired with pale purple Kerchief Blouse (see photo).

Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose wrote the song "Sweet Child O’ Mine" for his now-ex Erin Everlyn. After the divorce, he offered Erin half his royalties from the song on the basis that he could never have written the song without her. She declined.
