The Bite:
Empty wine rack got you wishing you could turn tap into vino? Miracles do happen, but maybe just walk over to Bridge Urban Winery, a tasting bar and wine shop that specializes in wine from Long Island's North Fork and Bridge Vineyards. Grab a glass and order up some locally sourced grub, like Potato Medallions made from North Fork spuds or the Old Chatham Bleu Cheese plate (which tastes great with BUW's vanilla-y private label Merlot) - or just get a bottle to go. Drinking locally grown wine instead of, say, Napa vino, means conserving fuel and cutting CO2. This tipsy temple's also got live jazz every weekend, as well as views of the Billyburg Bridge. Amen.
