A Free Ride
The Bite
Wanna give a kid a free ride and clear out some storage space while you're at it? Donate your old bike to Recycle-A-Bicycle, a nonprof that benefits NYC youth. Any and all bikes, spare parts, and accessory donations are welcome, so you can keep them out of landfills and get a tax break while you're at it. R-A-B also runs bike mechanic programs in four local public schools and rewards committed student volunteers with - you guessed it - free bikes. On the flip side, you're looking to pick up a set of wheels, check out its selection of used bikes for sale. You won't get a free ride, but you'll be pedaling for a good cause.
