SMALL CHANGES ADD UP

If 10,000 NY Biters eat an organic doughnut instead of a conventional one, we'll keep the equivalent of 78 cups of coffee in pesticides out of the environment.

COCKTAIL FACT

The doughnut's hole was created so that the dough bakes evenly - without it, you get a soggy, undercooked middle.

Hole in One

The Bite

When was the last time your sweet tooth seriously scored? Here's an ace: Doughnut Plant, a tiny bakery that serves up the tastiest oversized doughnuts we've eaten in years. Go for unique combos like strawberry-filled with peanut butter glaze, a cakey organic orange, or tres leches (think sweet cream on pound cake on sugar). Baked fresh every morning, these hole-in-wonders are made sans preservatives, artificial flavorings, or eggs (yep, really), and DP uses seasonal and organic ingreds whenever possible. The store closes when the shelves are empty (usually around 4 p.m.-ish)...so tee up, and grab one - or fore - fast.
