Alison Lara, Mama Bite Editor

Alison is a Chicago-based writer and columnist, and the proud mama of Ideal Bite's first Baby Biter, Roxane, born August, 2008. At the Chicago Tribune, Alison covered urban issues, arts, culture, and food; she interviewed a rising state senator with a tricky name (Barack Obama) and hung out (quite literally) with circus trapeze performers. Alison's passions for the sustainable food movement, green design, and conservation led her to Ideal Bite. She's also a restaurant critic for Crain's Chicago Business. Alison holds an M.S.J. from Northwestern University's Medill School and a B.A. in American Studies from Amherst College. (Alison's Eco-confessions)
