Hitting adolescence in the late ’80s had its challenges - like fighting to ditch CFCs while trying to achieve perfectly flipped-out bangs - but helped make Daisy the can-do, tree-hugging Biter she is today. After scoping out the Colorado mountains during college, she headed to California, where she guiltily enjoyed LA’s smoggy sunsets while writing film reviews and grant proposals, and pounded the pavement for the planet in Santa Cruz. Now she’s digging the less-gritty-than-fab Chi-town, where, over the last three years, she’s edited a women’s interest mag, a grad school’s publications, and the Cool Globes guidebook, in between writing and trying to look cool at Metropolis, drinking 312, and bundling up for daily treks to the lake.
