We are all about saving trees, but if you’d like to spread the good-n-green word by posting an Ideal Bite tip in a public place, we encourage you do so on recycled paper. Thanks and Happy Biting!

If 10,000 NY Biters eat ice cream in cones instead of with cups and spoons once a week for each week of summer, we'll avert the weight of over 1,000 gallons of ice cream in trash.

A cow's udder can hold 25-50 pounds of milk at one time.
Our Cups Runneth Over
The Bite:
Did a bevy of rummy bevs send you straight to the porcelain throne? Next time, skip the Bahama Mama, and runneth instead to Ronnybrook Milk Bar, where you can sample titillating treats like traditional hard ice cream cones and creamy milk shakes, or live on the lactose edge with yogurt cocktails or silky chilled lavender milk (we grabbed a pint of Lola's Mint Chocolate Lace ice cream to go). The little shop channels old-school charm, and even uses glass milk bottles and vintage milk crates. All the goods come from local Ronnybrook Farm, which raises its cows sans pesticides or hormones, and feeds 'em a healthy green diet. It also serves up ice cream in cones, not cups, creating less waste. Make it a double...scoop.
