We are all about saving trees, but if you’d like to spread the good-n-green word by posting an Ideal Bite tip in a public place, we encourage you do so on recycled paper. Thanks and Happy Biting!

SMALL CHANGES ADD UP

If 10,000 SF Biters take a nature walk through Golden Gate Park rather than spending an hour on a treadmill, we'll save enough energy to watch 225,000 hours of Planet Earth on TV.

COCKTAIL FACT

One plan for Golden Gate Park included designs for a large horse racetrack, but it was scuttled to provide more wide open space for the public.

Lions and Tigers and Bears…

The Bite:

Oh my...how we exaggerate. But there is wildlife running around in Golden Gate Park, and Nancy DeStefanis, executive director of nonprof SF Nature Education, is ready to tell you all about it. With a plethora of slides in tow, Nancy's free lecture will teach you about the foxes, owls, great blue herons, and all the other creatures that call SF home, and why we need to take care of them. (Just tell us how to avoid tiger attacks, and we're good.) Spending a day outside nature watching certainly beats burning electricity in the gym - but don't tread on their habitats, or they'll get you, my pretty.
