We are all about saving trees, but if you’d like to spread the good-n-green word by posting an Ideal Bite tip in a public place, we encourage you do so on recycled paper. Thanks and Happy Biting!

If 10,000 SF Biters repurpose all their old clothes instead of buying new ones, in a year we'll keep the weight of about 2,267 claw foot tubs out of landfills.

To avoid being severely punished for shortchanging customers in medieval England, bakers included an extra item in their dozens, just in case.
Maker’s Dozen
The Bite:
Knead some inspiration to help channel your DIY cravings? Throw some new treats into your mix at the Maker Faire, the annual two-day festival that celebrates the craftier side of life. Join the 40,000-strong crowd to see returning faves such as the 2∏r (not eco, but we'll cop to a touch of pyromania), and also play with and learn how to make cool stuff like home hydroponics systems (for chem-free tomatoes), wallets out of cereal boxes, and bikes out of scrap parts - saving waste and giving your inner inventor some love. After we check out the bartending robots, you'll find us sewing some new clothes and grabbing a handful of organic bath salts. No half-baked ideas here.
