The Elephant in the Room

Let's just get it out there already: We're tossing our expired meds. There, we said it. Step two: weighing med-tossing options - check out Baywise.org for disposal locations sorted by zip, or take 'em to Elephant Pharmacy. EP'll send your oldies to a plant for incineration, ensuring they don't end up in our ground or wastewater streams. (Read the Daily Tip for more eco-motivation.) Download a simple form from EP's site then just take in your pills during pharmacy hours. It'll even recycle the plastic containers your pills come in (tricky suckers, those #5s). Big relief.

Cocktail Fact

Ironically, suicide is listed as a possible side effect of some antidepressants.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 SF Biters responsibly rid their cabinets of all old, expired, and unused meds, we'll keep the weight of three full-grown African elephants in pills from polluting our waterways.
