You don't have to go to Hahvahd to know a good thing when you see one. When your family (or even just your BFF) comes to town, send 'em to the newly opened, not overpriced Good Hotel in SoMa. Put up your holiday family overflow in style (think Scandinavian chic) and comfort: 26-inch flat screen TVs in each of the 117 rooms, plus WiFi, and the standard curved shower rod (seriously: Did the Hotel Association have a meeting?). The wicked-smart designs feature eco-friendly amenities like reclaimed wooden beds, recycled glass light fixtures, and even toilet lid sinks, which save clean water that'd otherwise get flushed.
