The Bite:
Everyone wants it, few really have it. Giving credit where credit is due: Mission Street Food. Every Thursday and Saturday, MSF's guerrilla dining crew hosts a different chef to set the menu, with proceeds benefiting a local nonprof – it may be the most SF thing ever. Tonight, local food pro Sara Miles is in charge, serving eats like Weed Tart - wild radish, dandelion greens, wild fennel, and wild chive - made with ingredients gleaned from our urban landscape. We're licking our chops for the Pudding Pork, braised in organic milk, bay leaves, and herbs picked from Mission backyards. This week benefits The Food Pantry, which feeds over 700 folks a week.
