SMALL CHANGES ADD UP

If 10,000 SF Biter households turn off 10 lights for just one hour, we'll avert the CO2 created by an average flat in a whole year.

The Bite

Think making a statement means getting soap-opera dramatic? Sometimes a bold maneuver is as easy as killing the lights. This Saturday, SF will join cities around the globe - Bangkok to Tel Aviv - in supporting the World Wildlife Fund's Earth Hour 2008 to draw attention to global warming. It's easy to participate: Just flip your switches (off) from 8-9 p.m. The Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, Alcatraz, Coit Tower, and City Hall are all going dim or dark, and so are we (we can always TiVo Law and Order). Drop by local, seasonal eateries like Modern Tea and Market Bar, and dine by candlelight for an experience even a bout of amnesia can't erase.
