SMALL CHANGES ADD UP

If 10,000 SF Biters bike just once a week (to the store, to work, to the bar...one way) instead of driving, in a year we'll save enough gas to drive from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, to Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, 92 times roundtrip.

COCKTAIL FACT

Ouch: Blender contributor Russ Heller set a record by listening to "We Built This City" for 24 hours straight at a Best Buy in NY.

We Built This City

The Bite

...on rock and roll, but now what? In honor of Earth Week, find out how brainy types plan to grow cities around the world while making them more sustainable. Local business folks (including Wildlife Works founder Mike Korchinsky), gov leaders, and environmentalists from Poland to Senegal will convene to share visions of the future - solar panels on every rooftop? Public bikes? Free Taqueria Can-Cun burritos for all? (ahem...) - and answer questions about how to get us there. You can also get outside and learn about SF waterfront development on a bike tour hosted by the Neighborhood Parks Council, or watch local nature gurus point out the critters that inhabit the Crissy Field wetlands. Yeah, SF has wetlands - don't you remember?
