Chocolate and Coffee Tour

To Bean or Not to Bean?

05.29.2009

The Bite:
Debating how to entertain your outta-town guests? (Sure, the Lusty Lady's one way to go…) Here's your answer: Savor Seattle Food Tours' Chocolate & Coffee Indulgence Tour. The 1.4-mile walking tour (see ya, CO2 emissions) includes stops at Oliver's Lounge for an espresso cocktail, a lesson in latte art (see photo) and a bag of locally roasted beans at Caffé D'arte, Mochaccino cheesecake (made with cage-free eggs and without artery-clogging hydrogenated oils) at The Confectional, and tons of no-way! info, even for natives. Any questions?
Why Care?:
Walking around the city versus driving (while playing a kazoo and singing YMCA) will save money on gas, eliminate CO2 emissions, and help you burn off the calories from all the goodies you'll be eating.
At $65, the tour sounds pricey, but you totally get your money's worth with all the treats along the way and a trip to the top of the Space Needle to dine on Mocha Braised Short Ribs with local wine and dessert.
Wanna Try:

Cocktail Fact

Seattle is the second most caffeinated city, with Tampa, FL, coming in first.

Small Changes Add Up

If 10,000 Seattle Biters take a walking tour instead of a driving one, we'll keep the weight of nearly 4.5 Priuses in CO2 outta the environment.
