The Bite:
Think you need an extra(terrestrial) phone just 'cuz your cell's screen is cracked? Reach out and touch Seattle's Jet City Devices before tossing it. These repair pros can fix common probs such as busted iPhone screens and BlackBerry trackballs in about 15 minutes. Your phone's still gotta be able to make and receive calls, and even they can't undo water (or, say, Pinot Noir) damage, but their service is way cheaper than buying a new phone - (Reese's) Pieces o' cake.
Why Care?: 
More than 120 million cell phones (containing toxins like beryllium and lead) end up in U.S. landfills each year, so repairing yours instead of trashing it saves you money and does Mama Earth a big favor.
We're glad that we've never dropped our phone in the mud and then run over it with a 16-wheel big rig, but apparently the folks at JCD could fix it if we did.
