Cocktail Fact

January is the least popular month for weddings.

Bang For The Bite

If 10,000 Biter newlyweds share their bliss over coffee from a French press instead of an electric drip coffee maker with warming plate, we'll save the power used by 210 houses in a year.

September can't be the most popular month to get married, May or June are still the peak months nation-wide! Also, I loved all these tips, but remember that a gift certificate or registry present might be also considered eco-friendly just because it's going to be certainly used.
I love this tip!! Although I agree with Laura on the gift certificate / gift card, is just plain ol' money taboo these days?? Personally, December is the most popular month for me, let's see, I got married in April, May, November and December, December twice...trust me, there won't be a number 6!! I guess you can say I recycle husbands...ooh! ps, I wish more tip commentors would vote on the left hand side of the page...just a thought...
Or, you could get married at Barr Mansion, a certified organic and zero-waste events facility, in Austin, Texas: http://barrmansion.com/ They've got everything from organic food, gardens and linens, to soy candles and geothermal AC...
Glasses Shop:quality eyeglasses, best glasses on a online glasses shop, online eyewear, eye glassesstore!
You have to be kidding me. The bride and groom are spending probably $100 a couple for the reception and you want to give a gift of less than $30? That's an engagement or shower gift unless your going to an afternoon tea. Cash is the "green" way to go and will be appreciated the most.
I'm a cheapskate--and I love buying green gifts--so I appreciated the suggestions and prices! I ordered 5 of the VivaTerra Live Edge Servers, but two of them were broken to bits upon arrival. The company nicely sent me two more, but they both were broken, too. Nice idea, though.
I got married in May and I don't know very many people who get married in Sept. I also say get married when you want of I also what to point those tips. Wish I had those when I got married. Refrigerator water filter

Well, we got married in September but it was the time that worked out best for us. I didn't know it was considered a popular month, tho i know several other people with September anniversaries. My niece got married this summer & i was going to do the gift card thing. But my husband protested. He asked me to name one gift that we bought with a gift card AND the person who had provided it. I couldn't do it. We've been married 5 years. (With the exception of a gift card to a very expensive store that had little i could buy with the card. I don't remember what i bought, but i do remember the person.) But many of the physical gifts we were given i do remember the giver & think of them as i use the gifts. So i chose for my niece, instead, to go to a local consignment store. I bought 2 different sets of four beautiful, old, hand embroidered placemats & also 2 sets of four hand worked napkins. Also an old glass hen similar to one my grandmother (niece's great grandmother) used to have. AND i added a gift card & an explanation of the things i sent. If nothing else the gifts should be memorable. What is funny, is my niece (who is 20) evidently doesn't know what cloth napkins are. She thanked me for the "hand towels" she uses to dry her hands after doing the dishes!
